What causes recurring bacterial vaginosis (BV) multiple times a year?

Some people seem to get BV all the time. We are not completely sure why, but some of it may be that some vaginas have more “good” bacteria than others, which help prevent it. There are ways to manage BV if you seem to be getting it all the time. Let your provider know if you tend to be prone to BV so they can address that in your custom treatment plan.
