Cramping and heavy bleeding
This usually begins 1 to 6 hours after you take the second medicine (misoprostol). Bleeding is usually heavier than a period, sometimes with clots.
Other side effects
Misoprostol can also cause other side effects — like fever, chills, nausea, and vomiting — for up to 24 hours after you take it.
